About CreodoSite 1.0

CreodoSite 1.0 is a content management system, totally configurable from the administration panel. With this software you can build completely different sites without messing with the source code.

With CreodoSite 1.0 you can change all the contents and layouts of every page from inside the administration panel.

It was created to build websites faster than with others applications, but with no loss of quality and flexibility.

It was developed with object-oriented PHP and MySQL databases in a way that every developer will find it very easy to work with.

About the name

The term creodo is a neologism created by biologist C.H. Waddington to describe the development pattern followed by the cells until their weaves turn apart.

For Waddington, the creodos illustrate a particular type of balance: a balance in evolution and nonstatic.

As well as the cells through creodo become different, our software becomes different Web sites by its own creodo.

About the software

CreodoSite 1.0 consists in a basic set of files that form the nucleus of the site. It includes functionalities to manage security groups, user permissions, and components administration.

There is a set of components that increase the functions of the system. In addition to that, there are components to manage events, pages, news, files, etc.

Each component can be installed independently, according to your needs.

About the source code

CreodoSite 1.0 is entirely written in object-oriented PHP. Also, there are a lot of Javascript components used to build the many functions included.

The data is stored in a MySQL database.

The structure of the code is similar to a Microsoft .Net page. Each page is divided into two files, one with all the HTML code and a part of PHP code and the other purely PHP functions, making it simple to read and understand the code involved.

All the text displayed on each page is stored in one file per component, making it easy to adapt the software to other languages. Currently there are two languages defined for CreodoSite 1.0: English and Spanish.
