This component allows you to define forms to store data in the database. The forms can be published in your site, such as a contact form, or managed internally to store contacts, providers, clients, products or any information you want. You can define fields and indicate the type of each one.
The Forms component provides the following administration screens in the control panel:
Add a form: This screen allows you to add forms to your site. To add a new form to your site you must enter the following information: name of the form, description, email where the information is going to be sent, whether you want to publish this form in your site or manage it internally, you can choose the type of button between an html form button or an image, the forms text, the text to display when the form is sent successfully and the text to display when an error occurs. When a form is completed in your site by a visitor, its info is sent to an e-mail address and stored in the database.
List forms: This screen presents the list of forms configured in your site. From here you can access the edit the form page, the list of form fields and the list of records stored for a form.
List of form fields: This screen presents the list of fields defined for a form. From here you can access the Add new form field pages and edit them.
Add new form field: This screen allows you to add new fields to a form. You can add a new field to a form by entering the following information: the name of the field, the description, the label to display next to the field in the form, the order in which it should appear in the form, you can choose the type of control between "textbox", "multiline textbox", "drop down list" and "checkbox", the data type, the validation information and other info. This screen is also used to edit a form field.
List of form records: This screen presents the list of records for a form. From here you can edit form records and add new ones.
Add record: This screen lets you add a new record for a form. To add a new record for a form you must enter the information for each field defined in the form. This screen is also used to edit a form record.
Configuration: This screen allows you to configure the Form component. You can set the title of the widget and the text to display next to every field to indicate it is mandatory.
Stylesheets: This option gives you a list of stylesheets used by the component. You can edit those from here.
Images: This screen allows you to change the different images used by this component.
