Components overview

CreodoSite 1.0 is based in components. Each one was designed for a particular kind of content that you can include in your sites.

Components overview

The components of CreodoSite 1.0 were designed to work separately from the others. Each component has its own administration pages, menu options and widgets to be included in your pages. Also, they come with its own security rules, so you can assign user permissions to manage only that component.

There are only two components that need to interface with the others to work. They are the Site map and the Search components. These components communicate with the others to obtain information.

Component list

Banners: the banners component allows you to upload images from your sponsors to be displayed in your site. They can be shown horizontally or vertically, with or without links.

Calendar: the calendar component allows you to define your types of events and create events of every type. The calendar widget can be located in your page in a form of a list of events or as a small calendar. Once you select an event from the list or a day from the calendar, you will be redirected to a full calendar view.

Files: this component contains no widget to locate in your site. It is only for internal use. The files component allows you to upload files to your site, such as images to include in every page, or documents. It has a file manager, with a folder tree to keep your files organized. This component is integrated with the wysiwyg editor.

Forms: this component allows you to define forms to store data in the database. The forms can be published in your site, such as a contact form, or managed internally to store contacts, providers, clients, products or anything you want. You can define and indicate the type of the fields in each form.

HTML: this component lets you insert up to four blocks of HTML code in four different widgets that you can locate in your pages. Just paste the HTML code in the right box.

Login: this component was designed to configure and include a login box in your pages. If you don't include this widget, you still can access the control panel through the link http://yoursitedomain/mgmt.

Main content: this component represents the main content of every page. You can not configure it in any way. The only thing you can do with this component is to locate it wherever you want inside the page.

News: this component allows you to publish news in your site. Includes a widget that can be configured as a list of news or as a vertical scroll.

Register: this component allows you to define Sign-up forms for your site. You can configure different sign-up forms and assign different security rules for the users.

Search: this component allows you to put a widget with a search box in your site. You can configure the components that are going to be searched.

Site map: this component allows you to include a site map in your site. The site map is generated automatically according to the content of the others components, also you can include new pages manually.

Static pages: this component allows you to add pages with text and images to your site. It provides you four different widgets to be displayed as a list, a panels list, a tree, a dropdown menu or a drop down control.
