Next releases

I am planning to develop CreodoSite 2.0 in the following months. The second release will include many new features and improvements to the current functions.

But you don’t have to wait that much, because I'm also going to be working to improve CreodoSite 1.0. You should expect new features and components to add to CreodoSite 1.0 before version 2.0 is released.

Upgrades to components

There is a set of upgrades to the components of CreodoSite 1.0 to be developed sooner. These upgrades include:

• Banners: New widget mode to display banners in a slide show box.
• Calendar: Minor changes to widget, like the possibility to display the event title in the calendar view. DONE!
• Calendar: Possibility to use text code for SEF urls for each event. DONE!
• Static pages: Possibility to use text code for SEF urls for each page. DONE!
• Forms: Use of captcha images to validate users to avoid malicious software. DONE!
• Forms: Possibility to use text code for SEF urls for each form. DONE!
• Register: Use of captcha images to validate users to avoid malicious software. DONE!
• Register: Possibility to use text code for SEF urls for each register form. DONE!
• News: Possibility to use text code for SEF urls for each news. DONE!

New components

Also, there is a list of new components to be developed too. Here, you have a brief description of those components:

• Listings: A component to publish different listings in your site. This component will let you create different types of lists of elements, such as list of providers, clients, rooms in case of hotels, etc.
• Blog: A component to transform your site in a blog. This component will let you post articles to your site and receive comments from your visitors. It will include many widgets to place on your pages like listing your posts by month, by category, by rank, etc.
• Press: A component to transform your site in an information site, with news and articles, just like any other newspaper site.
• Shopping cart: A component to publish and sell your products online.
• Real estate: A component to display properties info, with pictures, maps and more.
• Polls: A component to make polls in your site about the topics you like.
• Forum: A component to make your site become a place for open discussion of various topics.
• Photo Gallery: A component to build photo galleries in your site.
• Statistics: A component to take visitor statistics.
• Collaboration: A component to share documents between users.

Version 2.0

CreodoSite 2.0 will include the following features:

Possibility to define the page model and component location on a per page basis. You will be able to define different page models and locate the components in those models wherever you want. Then, you will be able to assign each page of your site to any model defined. By using these models, you can have a home page different to the rest of your site, or separate it in sections.

This change will come with many upgrades for the components. For example, the Static page component will let you build customized menus for each model to display different options on each one.

I am also preparing many improvements to the interface of the administration panel, like the use of really cool tables, toolbars, and other elements.
